On Sat. night 8th Dec. we held our social in the Community Hall in Killeagh. Mary O'Connor, Chairperson opened proceedings by welcoming everybody and spoke about the importance of training and practicing the skills of camogie on a regular basis.She congratulated the girls for their work during the year. Medals were presented to our U8's and U13's who were runners up in the U13 A Imokilly Final. Our U10's and U12's received there presentations at the Go Games Finals during the year. Six girls got special awards for their progress during the year and they were Megan Murphy, Alannah Budds, Aoife O'Neill, Grainne Landers, Aislinn Tyrell and Leah Geaney. Helen Cusack spoke about having ambition to try and be the best you can be at whatever you wish. She thanked the girls, parents, grannys, and other family members for all their help and co- operation and who were a pleasure to work with all year. She stressed that we badly needed help with coaching the skills of camogie and if anybody was available to do same to please get involved. She thanked our helpers, Gillian Cunningham, Conor Cusack, Aislinn Landers, Jessica Treacy, Ciara Daly, Ellen Benaim. A special thanks to Sharon"the baker Roche" Roche for all her fantastic baking all year. Our thanks to those who attended on the night.
